A colourful welcome for guests

Inspiration

We spotted this colourful addition to a house around the corner from our studio and it ticks lots of boxes for us…

It takes less work for someone to find the house (“we’re the house with the colourful wall”), it gives guests something pretty to look at when they’re waiting for the door to be opened and it provides a moment of pleasure for passers-by, whether they’re locals or tourists.

We reckon it’s an idea that could be utilised to cheer up the entrance to the type of building that can look rather institutional and lacking in personality, such as a school or hospital.
