The National Trust

Sherlock News

Once in a while, inbetween the bread & butter projects, your dream job comes along quite by chance and sometimes in the most pleasant of circumstances. Our MD, Tony, recently happened upon a National Trust marketing manager at Sheffield Park and Garden who was looking for a local design agency with experience in wayfinding and …. hydrangeas. That’ll be us then: most of us at Sherlock are card-carrying members of The National Trust. The downside to this is that Tony’s 4-year-old now knows how to get to the gift shop.

Most National Trust properties are looked after by volunteers who know the estate intimately and so the challenge for us has been to create an updated language which sits comfortably with the traditionalists and also excites newer, younger visitors. The contract will be delivered in December 2014. We’ll be in touch then.
