Unken Dunken: A studio collaboration

Sherlock News

We’re chuffed to spill the beans on a creative collaboration between two of our studio staff.

Rich’s way with words and Joel’s flare for illustration have resulted in: ‘Unken Dunken Makes Pancakes’ – a children’s picture book for young kids. In their own words

Rich:

I enjoy playing with words so it was fun, refreshing – and challenging – to write for a completely different audience. It’s been a lifelong ambition to write a children’s book and I’m thrilled to have finally done it.

Having worked with Joel for several years, it was a real pleasure to team up on this project and to push ourselves in a different direction.

Joel:

“It’s been an exciting journey creating these illustrations and seeing them develop through so many stages. It’s been a childhood goal of mine to eventually illustrate a book, whatever form that would take. Luckily for me and my younger self, Rich approached me with this amazing opportunity and it allowed me to pour my passion for illustration into something that benefits a new younger audience.”
