Creating impact for Children & the Arts

Children & The Arts

The client

Children & The Arts is a charity that works with venues across the UK to reach children in communities and hospices who are in danger of missing out on creative and cultural experiences.

The brief

We were asked to design Children & The Arts’ first impact report – previously it published a similar annual review – using it as an opportunity to give it a light update / refresh.

What we delivered

As this was the charity’s first impact report, we wanted it to have real visual impact on the reader.

We used block colour as a visual aid to break up the different sections of the report and to bring it to life. In doing so, we were careful not to over-design the report, as it was important to allow the beautiful photography to sing.

We used fun line-drawn illustrations to highlight some of the key statistics in the report, instead of using icons or other graphic elements typically used to display information / statistics.

What the client said

“We were delighted with the work Sherlock Studio produced. They really captured the core message of Children & the Arts, and their use of colour combined with our imagery made for an eye-catching and impactful report.” Marie Stirling, Communications Manager, Children & The Arts
