StoryFest

Discover Children's Story Centre

The client

Discover Children’s Story Centre is the UK’s first hands-on creative literacy centre for children aged 0-11 years and their families, carers and teachers. We’ve been working with Discover for several years.

The brief

StoryFest is Discover’s annual children’s literature festival, held in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. In 2015, we were commissioned to redesign the main StoryFest identity.

What we delivered

We used book spines as a way to instantly visually communicate the theme of the festival, applying a vibrant colour palette which nods to the event’s nature as a summer festival. With the use of a punctuation mark here and there, the books also become faces. It’s an adaptable device that can be updated each year.
Using the identity, we went on to create a suite of collateral for the festival.
