Tesco agricultural shows 2019
Tesco Plc
The brief
Tesco has attended key agricultural shows around the country for many years, as a way of engaging with, and showing support for rural communities and farmer-suppliers.
We were asked by Tesco to design its stands at The Royal Highland Show, The Royal Welsh Show, The Royal Cornwall Show and The Great Yorkshire Show.
We needed to create stand-out amongst competitors, and a welcoming environment for show visitors, whatever the weather.
Our work encompassed physical design, environmental branding, photography and copywriting.
What we delivered
Our aim was to create a functional, informative – and (we hope) a pleasurable and memorable experience of the Tesco brand.
We applied the same approach in planning and designing the stands as we typically apply when designing retail stores: we gave careful consideration to visitor flow and the communications journey to ensure we delivered a workable space.
We overlaid our design with real materials that were appropriate in the context of agricultural shows, applying the core brand colours. And we were careful not to overload visitors with information – this was much more about experiencing everything that is good about Tesco, than reading about it on a wall.
